Apologies if I’m bothering you, but I just wanted to ask a question (not regarding fanfiction or my hero academia/boku no hero academia, just writing itself).

Do you have any tips for new authors? I’m aspiring to be one and currently am trying to write an official book. I’ve been reading your fic, “Hero’s Shadow” and I really love how you write things into the scene, like introducing background knowledge, talking about the characters, how they speak etc etc.

I was just wondering if you had any tips on writing itself (creative writing).

If you can’t answer, thats fine, I was just curious ^^

Thank you, and have a great day! :D

@rabbitaizawa thank you so much!! It helps a lot :) I'm the same where I read a ton, it's just when it comes to writing, I either felt like I had a lack of detail or too much detail in a lot of places. This advice helps greatly, and thank you so much for replying :DDD

My style of writing tends to be more detail oriented, and I prefer writing in third person limited. The POVs I write, I try to make it so the reader feels as though they are IN the character’s shoes, feeling their emotion and understanding why they’re doing what they are. That’s why sometimes I have very long chapters. I understand that isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, and it’s a very valid critique from many :) This is just my design, though, and it’s taken me years to write in a way I actually enjoy.

So keep on reading and reading, and do as many writing exercises as possible! It doesn’t have to be clean whatsoever! I have a notes app where I write ANY idea or even CONCEPT of an idea (whether it be a line of dialogue, an action sequence, a snippet I want to include somewhere) at the exact moment it comes into my brain. This helps me a LOT. it is messy, but useful.

Also, don’t spend hours rereading and editing a piece of a chapter/work if it’s upsetting you. Skip that scene and go to the next until you can write it out. Wait a few days and go back to it. My best pieces of writing are typically when i write it down sloppily and then come back after a week and polish it up!

Good luck!! And thank you so so much for reading!

I'm assuming that hero's shadow is done, if it's not that's cool to, I just wanted to let you know that I took my time reading that book and it was amazing. I'm so happy I found it when I did I was going through a time where things were changing and I didn't like it, I found your book and I found peace in the length of it and the amazing story telling. this book got me to come out of my bubble and be more open to ppl (idk how its a WATTPAD book lol) but it helped me, thx
