i didn’t really speak up much about blm on this account but i was mainly on my main, but i decided to repost this here bc this is important.
          
          as i’m sure everyone has heard by now, derek chauvin —  the ex-officer responsible for the murder of george floyd, charges were raised from first degree murder to second degree murder. i would also like to mention that the other three ex-officers who were present during floyd’s arrest were charged as well and they are all being prosecuted. i am overjoyed and proud of the fact that we have come this far, but the fight isn’t over. this isn’t over because it took eight minutes and forty-six seconds for chauvin to murder an innocent man, but DAYS until him and the other ex-officers faced the consequences they deserved. this isn’t over because injustice in the black community isn’t a trend. 
          
          so i will say this — never stop, this is only the beginning.
