Randolph Randy Camp was born on March 12, 1961 in rural Spotsylvania County,Virginia. Randy is the author of the novel AMERICA: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY and four previous novels. False Dandelions is a Southern noir novel about the lives and dreams of underdogs. Wet Matches is an uplifting tale about five homeless teens (all HIV positive) getting a second chance at a better life. '...Then The Rain' is a rock and roll thriller about a female pop star battling a twisted cult leader to rescue a wayward teen. '29 Dimes' is a love story amid a crazy, hot summer in Silver Lake, California. Randy won the Quarter-Finals Prize at the 14th Annual Writers Network Screenplay and Fiction Competition. Randy has five daughters Natasha, Christina, Melinda, Randie, Ranielle, and one son Joshua. Randy is also a Youth Advocate and Mentor. Randy has a passion for working with at-risk and troubled teens. In May 2015, Randy acquired an Associate of Science Degree in the field of Substance Abuse Counseling and Mental Health Studies from Erie Community College in New York. Randy currently resides in Des Moines, Iowa. In his free time, Randy works on his next writing project.
