Hello Wattpad patrons! Thanks for visiting and taking a peek at my literary world. I tend to write about society's underclass, and I love to create colorful original characters which, in some way, represents the underdogs of today's society. Growing up poor I always tried to reach out and escape my sometimes dismal surroundings through my writings, in which I'd developed at a very early age in rural Spotsylvania County, Virginia. Today, I'm most honored when a teacher has chosen one of my novels as a classroom reading assignment for his or her students. To me, that is probably the highest award for any writer. Currently, I have four contemporary novels in the marketplace: 'Wet Matches: A Novel', '...Then The Rain', 'False Dandelions', and '29 Dimes: A Love Story'. All Novels are Available online in paperback and eBook Kindle via Amazon and B&N.

'29 Dimes: A Love Story' is set in Silver Lake, a community of Los Angeles. When I was running in the LA marathons several years ago and saw all of the eclectic, diverse neighborhoods along the 26-mile route I knew then that some day I had to write a story with Los Angeles as a central character. In '29 Dimes', this provocative coming-of-age tale follows seven colorful teens through their summer break, where each of them will have an experience that will shape and change their young lives forever. One hot, crazy summer. Seven hungry hearts. 29 Dimes.

Hello World and WattPad Readers! My name is Randolph Randy Camp and also known as 'rcstories'. I was born in rural Spotsylvania County, Virginia on March 12, 1961. I grew up in an impoverished and somewhat dismal environment during the 1960's and early 70's. At a young age I fell in love with writing, and it became a much-needed escape for me. After graduating with honors from high school in 1979, I joined the US Air Force and traveled the globe. After completing my military service, I began to pursue my writing career in a more professional manner. One of my most proudest moments as a writer came in December 2007 when I'd won the prestigious Quarter-Finals Prize at the 14th Annual Writers Network Screenplay and Fiction Competition in Los Angeles for my stories 'Wet Matches' and '...Then The Rain'. Since then, those two stories (Wet Matches and ...Then The Rain) along with my latest story entitled 'False Dandelions' , are all published novels, available in paperback and eBook Kindle on Amazon. I have for four daughters Natasha, Melinda, Randie, Ranielle, a Goddaughter Christina and one son Joshua. Although I'm always working on my next writing project, I'm also pursuing my Associate of Science Degree in Mental Health Studies and Substance Abuse Counseling at Erie Community College at City Campus, in New York. My first novel 'Wet Matches' takes a contemporary look at the ever-increasing problems of teen runaways and youth homelessness in America, and it got the attention of The White House. On January 15, 2012, I was honored with the President's Volunteer Service Award for bringing more awareness to these social issues. I am currently residing in Buffalo, New York.
