          It does not sit right with me that I have been inconsistent with my schedule because of my self-sabotaging habits. 
          
          So, every time I don't follow the schedule (that I made up because I can't function without structure even though I don't follow structure), I make another form of content in a different medium to compensate.
          
          That's why I made the playlists. I personally listen to all of these songs, and there's more songs that I have not included for future characters.
          
          Anyway, thanks for the wait.

Hello, this is for the upcoming chapter 7.
          
          As per the doctor's orders, I have to take an ample amount of rest (and vitamins).
          
          Without going into detail, my body is taking its revenge. Self-care was thrown out the window, so I am currently paying the price.
          
          Chapter 7 will be published on Sept. 3, 2025 (Wednesday) instead of Aug. 31, 2025. 
          
          The rest of the chapters and contents will still follow the same schedule. Please refer to my bio for the complete schedule of postings.

          Chapter 6 is finally published.
          
          As for why it was late, I was simply not feeling well.
          
          The chapter was already finalized afternoon, only then I fell ill once more when I caught a cold from running and walking under the rain with no umbrella. 
          
          The electricity went out, too. The university wifi was understandably slow.
          
          This chapter's delay was unforgivable, so expect that promised content within this week. I will also include another announcement after this one.
          
          Stay tuned, don't choke like me. Hehe.

          To those who are following the updates of Matilda, Adam Ate the Apple, and He Choked:
          
          The publishing date of chapter 6 + bonus content will be postponed.
          
          The new release date is Monday, August 4, 2025.
          
          After that, we'll return to our regular Sunday morning schedule.
          
          I am currently working on a research paper, and I want to give both the novel and the paper the full attention they deserve.
          
          I would like to thank everyone who stayed for the novel and for the updates.
          
          I will make sure to reward the readers, but not in the way they will expect. 
          
          I have already planted the seeds since chapter 1. The reward grows the more you read it.

          Chapter 5 is out, and so is this new character I'm adding into the mix.
          
          Also, thanks for the 200+ views, despite only having 5 chapters in the novel so far.

I have to be honest with something.
          
          I take pleasure in seeing my rankings go up.
          
          Right now, the novel is 1st in:
          - Modern Literature (out of 12 stories)
          - Philosophical Fiction (out of 156 stories)
          
          2nd in: Feminist Fiction out of 52 stories
          10th in: Literary Fiction out of 1.05k stories
          187th in: Dark Humor out of 8.15k stories
          
          For a 16-day-old novel and 4 chapters in, this feels like an early accomplishment.
          
          I am more than thankful for the views, comments, and votes the people took time to cultivate in my work.

Hello, it's my exam week in college.
          
          First periodical exam, to be exact. The second one will be on the last week of August.
          
          Without going with the technicalities of how my university runs exams, the weekly publishing of "Matilda, Adam Ate the Apple, And He Choked." will not be postponed.
          
          Instead, chapter 5 will be way longer.
          
          It sounds contradicting. Like, why would I make myself suffer more by writing for the novel and studying for exams?
          
          The answer is simple: I have free time and free will.
          
          When I don't feel like studying, I will be working on chapter 5... and vice versa. Call it counter-productive.
          
          This post will serve as a PSA if ever the quality drops on the next chapter (which I bet it won't, because the draft is ready).
          
          If the quality got better, just know that it's because I finally could afford to pay for the Grammarly subscription. Lol.
