What does a shepherd do when one of his sheep goes missing? Yes. He sets out diligently to find them. To return them back to the flock where they belong amongst his other sheeps. So what does that make he? A good shepherd. A shepherd that loves and cares deeply for his sheeps.
Jesus is that good shepherd. He loves and cares for us deeply. Always ready to set out and find us whenever we go missing. Whenever ever situations, obstacles, and even people separate us from him. He'll still diligently reach out to us with open arms ecause he loves us. Just like what the Bible says in Psalms 55 vs 22: "Cast your burdens on the Lord. And he shall sustain you. He shall never permit the righteous to be moved."
With this, we have certainty that no matter what we go through in life, we can openly and sincerely come to him and find peace. Comfort. Because he's always there to pick us up even at our lowest.
All we have to do is come to Jesus, accept his love and trust in him. And everything else will work out.
