@renacollins Well shit. I was JUST telling my therapist about books like this (not necessarily MC) and we actually talked about Talia and Ryder's story and why I like it so much. I understand not being able to write anymore and walking away from Wattpad; more and more authors are doing it so it is what it is. but i don't think you (and others quite frankly) don't understand the profound affect that these types of stories have on people. How they can be healing, freeing, relatable, etc.
You do you; taking care of yourself is #1 priority because no one else will do it for you, ya know? But if you're gone why take them down? you can edit them and say unfinished series and let them be enjoyed.
I am REALLY not trying to be a dick, cuz when it comes to mental health I freaking get it, but I'm sooo beyond frustrated as a reader (and writer) of losing stories because platforms are for shit (again, i know it's not your fault, but it's not our fault either).
I've never written on Wattpad so I don't know what happens when authors bail and/or stories are removed and how that affects the author's account.
Is there anyway you can leave them posted somewhere? Anywhere?
I'm just frustrated. And sad. And I'm sorry you're going through so much shit (I can relate to a traumatic birth story hardcore. You don't know fear until they tell you something is wrong and get you into emergency C. I was ready to jump off that table when she came out and wasn't crying. Then her sister came along 2 years later and i got peripartum cardiomyopathy from that. My heart still isn't at 100%. But I love my little crotch goblins more than anything in the world).
In any case, best wishes to you and yours, from the bottom of my heart.
