Crows Over The Red Fort invites the discerning reader into a journey across the vast and variegated lands of India, a realm of splendid contradictions and profound mysteries. Through the delicate yet unflinching medium of poetry, it unveils both the tumult and the quietude, the brilliance and the shadow, of a nation alive with diversity. Crafted for those of mature sensibilities, these verses seek not merely to depict a place, but to evoke its very spirit, its sighs, its passions, and the subtle melancholy that lingers upon its streets and fortresses. One does not merely read these poems; one traverses the soul of India itself.

@iCupcake19 and you're 100% right! like yeah there was the occasional unhinged 2012-esque internet drama but you're right. it makes me a lil sad because poetry isn't as popular as it used to be in general on the internet. like i feel that back then people that didn't usually read poetry would venture into it more? idk. i miss having that wealth of wonderful poetry to go through.

and i feel like everything that's trending on here in terms of books is either all paid authors or stories that were famous like 8 years ago. wattpad is a lil dead tbh. rip. but i still pop on to shout into the void sometimes i guess.

also thank you for replying i am smiling lots now being nostalgic for my semi -chronically-online youth

i doubt anyone will see this (but hi if you do!) -- i created a new collection on here to dump poetry snippets and incredibly drafty drafts if you'd like to check it out. it's called "ancientscrollslovepoems" (very creatively named after a tumblr of the same name in which i also post them too).

the drafts turned into actual poems will be linked in the comments. but it's basically a poetry dumping ground with the occasional piece of prose.

okay i'm really proud of this random sequel i've been writing as a hobby lately - i'm specifically proud of the tone of the writing and dialect.

also it's lesbian angst love letters to a missing girl from a homophobic town in the carolinas which is pretty on point lol

but yeah check it out if you want

this is the first part that i wrote when i was 17 (really it's 16-18 but i do not know for sure):
