WHO UGLY FOR THAT. THAT’S YOUR DAMN KIN, AND THE TITLE SCREAMS YOU. AIN’T NOTHING UGLY ABOUT THAT OUT HERE
IT WAS WHEN YOU SAID IT THOUGH, LIKE THAT SENT ME INTO RETROGRADE. I WAS DYING ☠️☠️ STOMACH HURT AND EVERYTHING
it was odd. as a member of team urameshi, it was expected to encounter any spirit or demon related species on campus of Sarayashiki High, which remained hidden from humans every day. they were usually deemed as a sign of potentially life threatening issues that were soon to come. as a demon himself, kurama wasn’t exactly shaken by the fact that there were lower ranking demons wreaking havoc around the area. so why a full a high B Rank Demon was wandering around the premises, in the /school uniform/ with such an immense amount of spirit energy that it had actually caused even yoko to perceive it as a threat, he didn’t have a clue. if superior demons desired to wreak havoc and couldn’t escape due to the barrier set on the human realm, then they would most likely send minions. but this one was different. it was clear to the boy of emerald orbs that she acted on instinct with strict intentions. but to do what? running his own tanned digits through his ruby tresses, he strolled to the library with his thoughts of thunder striking his mind at lightning speed whilst waves of doubt, concern, and uncertainty crashed at such a repetitive pace it could literally be referred to as a “brainstorming”. ‘what is their primary source of power? and what does this building even have that could possibly fit the requirements of meeting their goals?’ kurama pondered, turning into the room of stored books as soon as he heard a loud crash. jade hues widening, he shoved aside the instinct to stay hidden upon sensing the spirit energy and rushed to the core of the action. “who’s there?” he inquired, a threat laced underneath his enunciation of curiosity.
“you’re correct,” she admitted, hands folding together like paper in her arms as a small attempt to soothe the overwhelming warmth on her face. misaki laughed lightly, though it lacked any genuine amusement. the enrolled student studied her companion’s features. what was he doing here? the way he acted in class revealed that he was quite the intellect, but it was only ironic that two demons would find each other privately in the library. “that is correct. you seemed reasonably familiar when you entered my sight.” misaki’s frosty glaciers melted to spare a little kindness in return of the politeness this fellow demon displayed for her. “it is also in my satisfaction to meet you as well. I am misaki fujiwara. you may address me however you see fit.”
@rxsewhip ; * the latter’s lips transformed into a frown, cheeks heating up to a tender rosé color in deep embarrassment. was he—laughing at her accident? her grip on the timber chair only tightened, other hand reaching to relocate her skirt appropriately. it wasn’t long after that that she found that same hand reaching for his. when was it ever in her favor or intent to accept the assistance of another? especially if she had suffered from the temporary inability to remain balanced. the gesture was quite foreign, and her heart snarled out wearily. what was this? it wasn’t until misaki was brought to her feet as their hands disconnected that she realized she had just been dependent on another. this caused the female to scowl, more at herself than him for accepting something she could have easily achieved herself. “I could have... done that myself, you know...” she commented, crossing her arms across her chest and averting eye contact. however, she did make sure to return to the redhead’s emerald green optics after a short period of time, her own icy hues gleaming with minimum gratitude. “..but, thank you anyway.” who was this, anyway? misaki could sense his spiritual energy. he was demon, too—quite an attractive one at that. you’d be deemed an idiot if you didn’t acknowledge even that much. but that’s not why the apple of her cheeks became cherries. to have fallen in front of somebody and then have to receive help from that same being forced a void of humiliation to remain in the pit of her core.
and as powerful as this said demon was, the last thing the host of the nine tail fox expected was to witness them in a silly situation. so his own kind could be equally as clumsy as a human, eh? hearing her voice, he couldn’t help but allow his expression to soften, silky lips morphing into a friendly smile, verdigris optics revealing the slightest amusement. it sounded as if she might have needed assistance. kurama’s hand instinctively reached out in a heart warming gesture that would silently offer to aid her in balancing her weight and standing up once again. “no, not at all,” he began in a hushed voice, bringing the index digit from his free hand over his olive skinned lips before playfully winking. “but we’re in the library. so we should attempt to reduce the volume to a minimum, no?” this inquiry he’d added also implied a small joke referring to sound as a result of the collision between her body and the ground. he had to admit, the ruckus she had caused had been so precipitous and ear splitting that it actually startled him. but why would someone of the demon realm be in the school library? what was going on? what book was she looking for? was it related to her in any sort of way? these questions tugged at his mind as he silently studied her features and body language like it was the study guide to an exam that would determine who failed or passed for the year as he came to the conclusion that he was to act as natural as possible. feigning his interest (school wise), he spoke up again. “hey. you’re the student that was recently enrolled in my class, correct?” he inquired, now focusing only on her icy apertures. “allow me to properly introduce myself. i’m shuichi Minamino. it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
