Plagued by incessant ideas, stories kind of create themselves in my head. Writing, therefore, is an outlet for the weird and wonderful worlds and characters that dwell between my ears.

I write mostly speculative fiction, somewhere between dystopia and science-fiction, but always strive to take the standard norms and reinvent them on my own terms. I'm a firm believer that if an idea is just being regurgitated, then it lacks value - originality is everything.

My first book, Busted Earth, is one of a notional series. The next book, Chaos Rising, is written but not yet edited. The next two sequels are planned and a series of short stories that set the scene for the whole series of A Strange New World have started. With each book, the world and the story just get whackier and whackier!

My other concept for a world, Second Nature, has begun and is continually being fleshed out. This project is far more ambitious, in terms of scope, than anything I have previously written. The world I have planned and the story which inhabits it are fantastic, with support from readers for my first books, I will hopefully one day achieve my dream of writing it.

Writing is a way of existing and understanding the world around me, without it, I'd be lost.
