I genuinely enjoy talking to other writers and readers. Praise, critique, thoughtful suggestions - all of it is welcome, and I'm always happy to answer questions.
There are, however, a few things I don't respond to:
"I have an idea for your story."
Lovely - then do write it yourself. 😉
I don't mean to sound arrogant, but I'm not suffering from writer's block, and my imagination is more than lively enough. My stories grow in my own head and through the act of writing.
"I can draw illustrations for your story (for a fee)."
No, thank you.
I don't sell anything to my readers. I offer my stories freely, hoping they enjoy them as much as I enjoy writing them. Expecting an author to pay for unsolicited artwork is... optimistic. 😉
And no, I don't want to get in touch with people who claim they can bring me hordes of readers. Drop it!
