Found out I've been living my life in crowcore mode from tiktok, and that I'm not just a weird hoarder like my mother likes to insist.
That being said, tiktok trinket shops clearly don't understand that I know the difference between trinkets that have been collected over the years and stuff they bought in bulk on Amazon. Like,,, it's cool stuff, but I'd much prefer the random key I found on the side of the road than your unauthentic two dollar plastic bones :/
My mom forgot to turn the faucet off and because it's kind of quiet, we didn't hear it and now an entire section of our house is covered in two inches of water. I'm kind of pissed off about it, because this is not even close to the first time she has been so negligent of her actions and we have had to sit in her consequences.
Our air conditioner was broken for two fucking years despite the fact that we live in Oklahoma and it is hot.
Our dishwasher has been broken since right after we moved in in 2020 and she is just now trying to fix it.
Our car broke down because she never took it to have any maintenance done. Ever.
I'm fucking tired of this shit. We're too fucking poor to deal with the damage this is likely going to cause. Why are we poor? She refuses to ever save any fucking money.
It's been an hour and there's still water, but we've sweeped as much of it as we can out. Yes, sweeped, we don't own anything that can suck up or even move water and all of our towels are soaked completely through. My mom has still not made her way home despite having been out for a while before we had even noticed the water.
I just found out that a lot of people are super uncomfortable with ao3 because of it specifically having a tag for non-con, which is completely valid, I get being uncomfortable with that, however I think people are missing the point of it.
Ao3 is designed to let authors have full creative freedom unlike other websites, but with that freedom, people are going to write stuff that's messed up, and having a way to quickly and easily filter out that kind of stuff avoids unnecessarily triggering people. I used to come across extremely triggering topics without warning often when I used wattpad frequently, so to be able to be warned and avoid that kind of stuff way more has actually helped me a lot more than you'd think with my mental health, which is what their tagging system is designed for.
Also, it isn't only used for fics that center around describing the actual acts, as it is also used when it is implied/referenced. For example, I read something once that was basically just bashing Mori (bsd) for all that the bastard has done, and part of that was referencing his pedophilic words and actions, which could be really triggering to certain people. That is what it's for, being able to find the fanfics that are enjoyable for you without causing unnecessary damage to your mental health.
Anyway, if anyone actually reads these, wattpad sucks, move to ao3. I will personally teach you how to navigate it, byeee
I'm having eyes mansplained to me on a podcast rn. This is definitely not what I asked for lmao
Some of my favorite eyeball facts on the off chance that anyone's interested:
• Nearsightedness is caused by overly-elongated eyeballs. Our eyes are built to filter light to a certain point of our eyes, but if they're too long, the light can't reach that point so it's harder to see things far away.
• Our eyes contain cones and rods, and cones are what process lightwaves so that we see things. That being said, cones – the ones that process color – only actually come in three colors, (red, blue, and green,) but our eyes mix those cones together to create different colors. One really cool example of this is magenta, which we shouldn't physically be able to see. Magenta is the color we see between red and purple, however because color is actually a linear spectrum, red and purple are on opposite ends and can't be together. What we see as "magenta" is actually closer to green based on lightwaves, but because green is so important to us with plants and everything, our brain sees this "green that's not green" and just kinda,, makes stuff up. It does this with other colors as well, however magenta is the one I've learned about, so it was the best example (Google "magenta isn't real" and it'll probably give you a better explanation, bc I probably completely missed some things lol)

I put on the first one I see and it's like,,, funded(? Hosted? Put together by? Idk I mentally skip the intros to things) by Sam Smith, so I was, of course, like oh yay, this will be cool. It is not. It's some random dude who talks like an asshole and literally keeps getting shit completely wrong and having to be like "oh wait, actually my producer just said that that was entirely wrong with no truth behind it, so basically-" and like,,, if you're doing an educational podcast, you should be at least somewhat knowledgeable in the subject??? I learned all of this stuff already by reading random Tumblr posts reposted onto pinterest, so clearly you aren't as helpful as you want to be :/
Read a thing that said that the op thought they were tired of het ships, but then realized that it was just heterosexist ships, and same. SAME.
I could not physically care less if a ship is straight, I'm just tired of the ones that have the girl's personality be changed to center around the guy after she realizes, or they're /only/ together/shipped because they're m/f characters that exist around each other.
I despise ships where the girl shows literally zero interest until randomly she just,,, starts reciprocating if the guy keeps going for it?? If they reject you, just stop, its that easy???
And ffs, a male and a female can at least be friends in fiction. They can like each other purely platonically, it's ok. You won't implode.
Looking at my mha phase for that first one, ochako was such a good character, but after that scene in the exam with aoyama, all she ever did or said was centered around izuku and that pissed me off so badly. I actually thought they couldve been cute, but I hated what they turned her into more. They had one completely well-devoloped female character and screwed it up :/
