Can someone explain to me why on Wattpad are there so many dang shipping stories

There is this one bridget fic that I want to read cus it LOOKS GOOD, but it’s in spanish  had it been german or dutch OR EVEN FRENCH i’d be able to read it… but alas… the curse of being north east European strikes again…
