Hi all,

I've been a little absent these past few weeks in preparations for moving house, and in the run up to Christmas, I can say it's been very crazy (and will continue to be for a little while yet!). It's also worth pointing out that this probably will be my last post on here in 2024, because we've been informed its going to take a bit of time to get our internet up and running. Sigh...

However, there is some exciting news. So this year I submitted 4 pieces of work into The Shortys. And my oh my! The Affair of The Unlooked-For Husband made it onto the flash fiction shortlist! Yay!

My other piece of prose was longlisted, which is also amazing, but neither of my two poems placed at all. Although I am a published poetess, I am aware poetry is my weakest area, so I am not disappointed with that in the slightest.

If you want to have a read of my shortlisted short read, full of Victorian spiritualism coming from Madam Pevensey's Spirit Parlour, check out the link below!

Congratulations to the other wonderful writer and poets who made The Shortys shortlist. If you didn't, don't worry. The ONC will be here again before we know it!

Have a great weekend, a wonderful Christmas and the brightest of blessings for 2025!

It's been a little while since I've posted an update. How is your November going?

I've been spending the majority of my time finishing an old Christmas romance novel. There's not much more to write on it now, so I should finish it by the end of the month. For those who have been around for a while, you might remember this one as I started writing it on Wattpad around 2018 / 2019. It's called One Christmas. The plan is to get it finished, then edit it in the new year, and perhaps try submitting it for publication.

At the moment, I've taken a little break away from it in order to arrange my thoughts for the final chapters. I know how it's going to end, but I'm just thinking through how we are going to get there - there has been some changes made along the way as my characters have started insisting we go where they want to go...

So instead of working on that, I've been updating my poetry books here. Both Scattered Voices and Enchanting Words have a new poem each. One is inspired by The Fool Card from the tarot, while the other is about the magic of a crisp spring day, which works equally well for a wintry one!

Chronicles of The Craft volume 3 is now complete! Yay!

The final story, The Strange Disappearance of Arthur Everleigh, Gentleman-Explorer, is a light-hearted tale about a man who usually gets everything wrong, but maybe not this time...

If you have a read of this or any of the 13 stories in this volume, I really hope you enjoy it / them!

          Wishing you a wonderful weekend,

Since my last Chronicles update, four new stories have been added to the collection, and the final two will be shared tomorrow. So if you're looking for tear-jerking time slips, or end-of-the-world fantasy, which just so happen to be today's two stories, follow the link below to volume 3 of Chronicles of The Craft!

          Brightest Blessings,

I'm a few days off the pace with this, but I'm so excited to share that both my entries into this year's Ambys have made it into round 3. Woohoo! Congratulations to all the other story writers - I'm blessed to be included in such good company!

If you're interested to know which stories I submitted to this contest, they are The Magician: An Andromache Jones Mystery (the first short story in the series about a modern day witch solving cosy crimes with the use of her tarot deck and pendulum - at least some times!)

The other is my novel, A Host of Fallen Dreams, which tells the stories of a handful of people, some living in the City, some living in the Wasteland and some living in The Greenwood, After the Rising. Expect prophecy, magic, tarot, and music as they all try and survive the hand they've been dealt.

If you have a read of either, or both, I hope you enjoy them! And do let me know what you think!

          Brightest Blessings!

The next story is up for Chronicles of The Craft. If you've an interest in Arthurian myth and legend, or like dragons, this story might be for you. "Dreaming of Dragons" is a short tale of Merlin, and you can find it here:
