trying to bring some peace to the hee hoes freaking out about the new guidelines:
          
          first of all, the "content primarily intended for sexual arousal" rule isn't new, it's been there since the 2024 version. 
          
          my interpretation: purely p0rnographic content like books filled with graphic & explicit gifs or just descriptive sexual text, without an actual story (& i know the weekly burners will disagree i have one but hahah)
          
          (wait a sec... if arousal is a problem, aren't we taking that risk just by writing about michael jackson?? hahaha :3)
          
          but seriously, it's pretty clear to me that writing sex between consenting adults is OK if flagged MATURE. they give us "erotica" as a subgenre & "x reader" as an official format when we classify a story. why would they give us specific categories if it's forbidden?
          
          another random little thing that might relax everyone doing something similar: wattpad's official pinterest posted images directly from my chapters many times linking their +30mi followers back to them, so i hope they have some curation. example: https://br.pinterest.com/pin/827536500327094660/ i'd find it odd if it suddenly violated a rule that already existed. 
          
          y'all must remember this is a platform run by a company, with advertisers & investors. they need to avoid CRIMINAL content & activities. that's what the guidelines target imo, just like they rightfully removed the DM feature to avoid adults approaching minors.
          
          btw, idk how to make it more obvious how MDNI my series is, unless i rename  to "bedtime stories for the adult women in the balcony". so yes, i personally feel more comfortable blocking even when i suspect it's one, but wattpad really needs to start checkig IDs like every serious content platform out there.

Hi! I started reading your story yesterday and couldn't put it down! I read all evening, all night, and through today. It’s so, so cool. I’m in love. It's written so brilliantly. I have a degree in humanities and philology, so it's such a pleasure to find a story that is written this well. It’s literally a blessing for me.
          
          Also, it’s just a great story in general—super engaging and it hooks you right from the start (just a reminder that I read the whole thing in one sitting ). It’s so cool that it’s tied to MJ's real life, and the photo/video inserts are always spot on; they complete every single chapter so well, I get so much joy out of them.
          
          I also love that your chapters are long. I totally understand how much effort and time that takes, but it is so, so worth it! When I finished chapter 38 today, I was so sad that was it, but then I saw that chapter 39 had just dropped, and it was another best 30 minutes of my life!!!
          
          Of course, the smut is amazingly written, but the plot is mind-blowing too. It’s so interesting to watch how their relationship develops, with all the fights and makeups 
          
          Just wanted to say one more time that this is a very, very, very cool story, I'm obsessed with it, and of course I'll be waiting for new updates—I want this never to end  Just know that somewhere in Europe, there's a girl who is crazy about your fic.
