I had a specific dream so I might be pushing “Monika, Monika” to be my winter book rather than my fall. Keep your eyes out for “What Happened in 1999.”

And that’s a wrap on Mr. Brightside. I drew the cover of Mr. Brightside without wanting to make it a book but after a bit, I realized I wanted to make a story that deal with Mental health a bit more. A story that really takes a deep dive into everything. I enjoyed writing the story because I felt like I had the right idea when going into it. The main character is very complex, as is Marcus but they are one in the same.

I wished I could have written a few more moments with them but sadly, I wasn’t able to. Thank you for following along with my 2020 summer book, Mr. Brightside. I can’t wait for Monika, Monika.

Sorry for the delay in Chapter 3 of Mr. Brightside! I’ve been having a hard time figuring out the rest of that story especially since I’m trying to talk to people more and I’m working a majority of the week. I’ll make sure not to let there be a delay in the next chapter ❤️

And with that, the final chapter of Defend The Devil has been posted! This has been one hell of a journey but I couldn't be more grateful to be ending this novel and continuing another one. Defend The Devil is the first novel I have finished since 2017 which is a big deal for me because it exceeded my last word limit by a lot. It was more than HALF of the last word limit which was about 25,000 for me. I'm very proud of this novel because It deals with things that I don't often see. My goal in writing novels is to tackle things that other people can't and do it in a way that people can understand.

Here are some of my final words to DTD:

Between March to July, I worked on you during school hours and after school hours. Whenever I could, I was writing and I took my time. I didn't rush like I had done for my previous novel. I wouldn't change anything about this novel because it's so precious to me. I love each and every character (minus a couple) and I'm very grateful to have had people to follow me on this journey. My first reader, a friend named Ricky, really enjoyed this novel when it was still beginning so I decided to share it on wattpad. And with those final words, goodbye Defend The Devil. I'm sure we'll meet again someday. Maybe for a sequel or a prequel sequel? ;) who knows. I love you, Defend The Devil. Live on and thrive <3
