EEEEEEEH...... I don't know what to write for these things. I had written one before, but somehow it got lost, the way things that are supposed to be impossible to lose often do.
I love writing, and used to love reading just as much. My favorite series are Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss, The Winds of the Forelands by David B Coe, and The Godspeaker by Karen Miller. A couple other of my favorite authors R.A. Salvatore, Anne Rice, and what girl doesn't dapple with Jane Austen ? <(^ . ^)>
Still, with KDramas, Anime and shows like Gotham my time is pretty spent in front of my laptop these days. I used to have tons of stories and ideas I was constantly working on and even got 70 pages of a book wracked up when I was younger - but the less I read the more of an impact I see on my writing.
Why did I stop reading? I am an African-American woman, and if I was looking for character I could identify with on a any level I was stuck "finding myself" in dark elves or read ghetto romance novels that are okay - but not my cup of tea 'nawmean (rofl).
The Chase, is meant to be part of a larger series The Kingdom of Igsylgard (Hint: Igsylgard is an anagram - have fun!!) I am writing it because I love the world and cultures I imagined for it - but also because I want to improve again as a writer. So I can write for women like me - who want to see black people on dragons and surviving the apocalypse, and saving the universe from the forces of evil!
(P.S. My website is down - don't bother (._.')
