@silentmutiny ⟢ [to make it more real, his (unloaded) gun was directed towards the other.] sixty—one for good measure, in case for duplicates, and i don’t want the one doing the candle—pose twice. [one eye closed, as if he were a sniper. the agent is the first to make a step, the barrel of his gun pointed to the other’s forehead before his lips part.] ‘poooh’! [it escapes, a poor excuse of a sound of a gun going off. free hand behind his back finds it’s way back to the front, fist unclenching to release the sudden amount of confetti that shot over the both of them.] you were shaking in your boots, weren’t you?

Adrian doesn’t flinch. In fact, he looks vaguely bored—as if threats like that belong in Saturday morning cartoons. He exhales slowly through his nose, then tilts his head with that trademark glint of dry amusement. ``Make it 60 and I might start taking you seriously.`` A beat. He steps forward just enough to close the space, voice low—measured, but not lacking danger. ``But if you’re going to aim for the head, do it right. I hate messes.`` Then a faint smirk. ``And don’t miss. I’d hate to make your ghost feel embarrassed.``

@silentmutiny ⟢ and you both have that same, nasty attitude. [emélie’s nose scrunches at the sight. dark orifices coursing over the other, silently gauging the differences between him and ..well.] i think he might be a little bit better, less evil. [although that was a lie as well, but if he hadn’t initially wanted to peeve him. then he must have done so by now,] and an affinity for nicknames too.

``Yeah, I’m rich.`` A pause—measured. His tone stays dry, but there’s a definite edge behind it. ``And whoever you’re comparing me to better not be a downgrade. I don’t do charity cases, /darling/.`` He adjusts his cuff with practiced ease, then glances back at Emelie. ``Unless you’re asking if I come with a trust fund —then yes, very much so.``

(* A pause. Barely perceptible. Just long enough to make them wonder. ) "And if I wanted to pull it all out from under you?" (* He tilted his head. ) "I wouldn’t even need to lift a finger. Just let you keep talking.”

(* There was no smile on his face — not now. His mouth was set in that faint, surgical line of someone who could smile but didn’t need to. ) "I won’t chase you,” (* he said, his voice suddenly lower. ) "You’ll bring yourself back.”

(* Another beat. And then, casually, as if bored: ) “Because all predators return to where they last felt teeth.” (* He turned his back without a word, — the kind that meant he knew exactly when to strike. And that next time, he might not wait. )

(* He didn’t flinch at their taunts — not at the word “dog,” not at the flick of their ponytail, not even at the glint of that too-proud smirk they wore like armor. He stood still, unmoving, hands buried deep in the pockets of his coat. His gaze followed their ascent, but there was no urgency in it. No chase. Only calculation. ) “Cute,” (* he said calmly, as if evaluating the weather. ) “You’ve got the bite of someone who’s used to never being cornered.”

(* He stepped forward, slow and controlled — each stride deliberate, like the kind of man who never needed to raise his voice to be heard. His tone didn’t lift, didn’t lilt. It simply cut — quiet and clean. ) "But here’s the thing, kitten,” (* he continued, eyes narrowing just slightly. ) "You mistake observation for inaction. I don’t move because I’m waiting.”

(* He looked up at them now — high above him, all grace and feigned detachment, perched on their box-throne like a god of ash and alley dust. ) "I’ve already studied the route you’ll take. The pipe you’ll grab next. The windowsill that’s loose enough to shift under your weight when you land.”

@silentmutiny, [if there was anything they could do, it would be to observe. felicia did everything in their power to know, to gain information. the cat burglar was no idiot, in fact they might be smarter than they let on. blue irises flicker over the platinum—blonde’s expression.] i wouldn’t dream of it. in fact, i’m expecting it. will you be a good dog and take the bait? [fingers curl around the pony—tail, brushing through it until they reach the very end. releasing the bundle, and it falls back against their back. lips stretch into a smile,] and i’m not afraid to drown. you’d have to do it first, and i just don’t see that in you. would you really want to get rid of a face like mine? seems counter—intuitive. [hand presses against the side of their complexion, but they’re quick on their feet. swinging and latching onto the pipe, landing onto a pair of boxes: it was true that cat’s landed on their feet, that’s for sure.] ah—ah.

( The Self vs. Self Conflict )
┈┈ Despite the ironclad persona he presents, Adrián isn’t entirely immune to guilt. In the dead hours of the night, he sometimes questions whether he has sacrificed too much of himself—. whether there’s anything left of the boy who once believed in justice. But he quickly silences these doubts. In his mind, regret is just another crack in the armor, and he refuses to be weak. His internal war isn’t between good and evil— it’s between survival and the ghosts of what he used to be.

            ( Adrián’s Complicated View of Luke )
┈┈ Adrián does not hate Luke— not truly. If anything, he resents Luke for embodying the parts of himself he had to kill: hope, loyalty, belief in change. Luke reminds him of who he might have been if he had chosen a different path. Their battles are more than ideological; they are deeply personal. Adrián fights to silence the guilt Luke’s existence stirs inside him. Crushing Luke, in his mind, is a way of silencing the last remnants of his own humanity.

            ( Survivor vs. Monster )
┈┈ Adrián sees himself not as a villain, but as a survivor. In a world where the naive get slaughtered, he believes becoming a monster was the only way to survive. But the deeper he embeds himself into the corporate machine, the more monstrous he becomes— until even he sometimes wonders if he crossed a line he can never come back from. Where Luke struggles to protect the ones he loves, Adrián struggles to remember if he even knows how to love at all.

┈┈ http://PERSONALITY. ˎˊ ⸝ ⸺

            ( Adrián’s Calculated and Ruthless Nature )
┈┈ Adrián Vale’s personality is a study in cold ambition. Growing up watching loyalty get people killed, he buried his emotions early. To Adrián, vulnerability is just another weakness to be exploited. While others dreamed of freedom, he crafted a dream of control. Every move he makes is deliberate, every relationship weighed against his own survival and advancement. If he ever loved anything, it was a means to an end.

            ( Charismatic Mask )
┈┈ Adrián is deceptively charming. He knows exactly what people want to hear, how to make them lower their guard, and how to position himself as indispensable. His charm is not born from sincerity— it is a mask, carefully constructed to maneuver through powerful circles and manipulate weaker minds. When he smiles, it’s almost convincing; when he laughs, it’s hollow. Those closest to him, if they’re paying attention, can sense the void behind his eyes.

( Ruthlessness Beneath the Surface )
┈┈ Underneath his polished exterior, Adrián is merciless. He will lie, betray, and destroy without hesitation if it secures his position. He doesn’t see these actions as evil— just necessary. Trust, to him, is a foolish currency in a world built on treachery. Even those he once considered friends, like Luke, are expendable if they stand between him and his ambitions.
