[5.]    JAN  DE  BAEN  -  THE  CORPSES  OF  THE  DE  WITT  BROTHERS.
            
            though  the  political  inferences  have  little  relation  to  hyun-ji  in  terms  of  her  plot,  this  artwork  is  hyun-ji's  favourite.  the  gore  and  detail  of  the  painting  evokes  such  a  visceral  reaction  from  within  her.   these  two  corpses  on  display  for  all  to  see,  organs  and  all,   are  the  ultimate  show  of  humiliation,   an  inspiration  for  hyun-ji  and  her  desire  for  human  manipulation  of  art.

[4.]     ALEXANDRE  CABANEL  -   THE  FALLEN  ANGEL.
            
            this  work  almost  depicts  hyun-ji  in  fine  art  form.  this  piece  demonstrates  the  beauty  of  rebellion  as  well  as  a  refusal  to  appear  weak  even  when  suffering.   this  is  easily  one  of  her  favourite  pieces,  though  to  a  certain  degree  she's  frightened  of  it's  message,  an  angel  outcast  from  heaven  depicting  her  own  fate  should  she  be  expelled  from  her  own  family.

[3.]    HIERONYMOUS   BOSCH   -   GARDEN  OF  EARTHLY  DELIGHTS.
            
            an  artwork  originating  from  the  netherlands,  this  piece  depicts  several  human  like  figures  succumbing  to  temptation  for  the  sake  of  mortal  pleasure,   much  like  hyun-ji's  struggles  with  substance/drug  abuse  and  her  own  sexuality.   not  only  temptation  is  underlined  within  this  piece,   but  sin,  and  its  punishments.

[    she   repeats,    a   scoff   passing   her   lips   at   his   words.    she    leans   against   the   balcony,     the   moonlight   illuminating   her   features   on   this,    a   cold   night.    and   what   better   warmth   than   a  cigarette  ,     she   thinks   to   herself,    retrieving   one   in   addition   to   her   grandfather’s   lighter   from   the   pack   of   marlboro   golds   in   her   pocket.    she   tilts   it   towards   the  other   as   she   places   her   own  between   her   lips,    an   offer.     ]       i’d   like   that   very   much.

@siraens,     hmm,  [CAREFULLY CRAFTED,  a smile shows itself slow.  eyes downcast yet still holding her gaze. briefly,  they fall to his hands——a (purposely done) tremor stared back.  who did he know tend to shake when they were nervous?      he was losing track of names  ]    … perhaps  i’m the frightened one under your scrutiny ,  then.
