          My friend, Mahmoud Jaafar, only has $300+ raised of a $10,000 goal. It doesn't help that he lost his previous account! While it may be a far climb, it's a climb worth making—not just for Mahmoud, but also his entire family of three brothers and four sisters, and their grandparents. Multiple of his family members are severely injured, and his older brother - Ahmed - was killed, trying to secure food for them.

hey all, i know i haven’t spoken in a while about funds on my board here but that doesn’t mean i’ve forgotten. since i don’t have my phone, i don’t have access to the lot of links i had on there /but/ that doesn’t mean they don’t exist.
          
          there are accounts you can find on twitter especially - but there’s also instagram, tumblr, youtube, or whatsapp groups. other sites like chuffed.org talk about all kinds of funds (including abolishing ICE funds or updates on palestinian/sudanese family funds!) & friendsofthecongo.org are more personalised to congolese people’s funds, i definitely recommend. if you can find them, definitely donate personally to a small account or repost their posts.
          
          if you ever need to refresh ur mind of the atrocities happening or you aren’t aware of what’s happening, i suggest doing your own research! - i recommend 1) ismatu gwendolyn (same handle everywhere) when it comes to discussions about fascism. she recently got arrested for being at a riot iirc. 2) middle east eye (same handle everywhere) for their news on palestine, lebanon, sudan, syria, iran - but also conversations on how openai (ai in general) is assisting in genocide & how activism in spaces of education or art is being punished.
