Hey beautiful people, I'm a rookie here so if this looks crazy for a minute I'd like to apologize in advance.  Anyway my  name is Sandi. I'm an author and a lover of all things romance and crime related which makes for some pretty interesting story selections.  On a regular day I work with individuals with intellectual disabilities but in my downtime, other than being an adult and doing adult-type stuff (boring), I read a lot and write even more.  As an author I go by S. Marie Rose, a little way for me to pay homage to two very important women in my life otherwise known to me as Yaya and Gramma. (I'm a little sentimental at times).  Writing for me started at a very young age, it was a tool I learned to use to deal with depression and unexplained bouts of anxiety.  Just being able to write through moments where it literally felt like the walls were caving in on me gave me the outlet I needed to take control of my mind and spirit by letting the words spill from my brain onto paper. Writing for me is cleansing. It's also fun, exciting and, pretty freakin' cool.  It wasn't until very recently that I introduced people to my passion. Afraid of judgment, mockery or just generally not being good enough is what probably kept me from letting people into this door that I kept closed for so long. Recently, this changed for me. Met with some pretty crappy events in my life, I decided to do something for myself for once and wrote my first full length romance novel DOVES AND DEMONS, with the story based very much on some personal experiences, I was able to purge so much of the negative emotion that really threatened to control me.  Since then, I've released the second book to the series, SINS AND SAINTS and have been met with some really positive feedback.  The problem is, now that I've opened up the floodgates, exposing myself as someone who finds words and pages fascinating, I don't want to stop.  So here I am. Follow along for previews of my work and I'll gladly do the same.
