okay so guys i don’t think you’ve noticed… but i’ve recently been so extremely fixated on christian borle characters. you see, it all started with vox from hazbin hotel… i love his stupid ahh box head so much.
we then move on to the christian borle in general era, i watched little shop of horrors, just with different actors that included him, i watched half of falsettos. (i fell asleep cause it was 6am.) i also watched the short film he was in called “dinner” on youtube.
but then we move on to THE character, emmett forrest. i always wanted to watch legally blonde see, but i made the grave mistake of watching the musical first, so i noticed the changes when i watched the film. such as emmett, now i think we can all say emmett forrest >>> emmett richmond. the musical (imo) is so much better in every way, obviously i still LOVE the film its so iconic and i love film elle so much. but the musical does SUCH a good job at the plot. the songs. the characters. i love how they used vivian, i love how they used all the supporting cast, but most importantly i love how much stage time they gave emmett.
in the film we don’t really see much build up between elle and emmett, they talk about three or four times by themselves and i still didn’t see anything there, then all of a sudden it was years later and emmett was going to propose. but in the musical we saw the relationship progressing throughout “chip on my shoulder”, and elle also realized that she had stopped trying to become a lawyer for warner, and was doing it for herself instead, with the help of emmett. and in “take it like a man” we saw emmett’s side of it, he was letting elle do all this for him because he liked her.
anyway i like legally blonde the musical far too much i apologise.
