    I've got like 1k words of the first draft of my oneshot already written, we haven't even good to the good part yet.

    why is starting a oneshot so hard, starting a chapter in general. how in the world do you get the start to be right and just flow.

@solareeclipsed omg real. not chapters in general, but my first chapters i like to have a hook. usually pretty wacky but still makes sense and then i just go from there. (i shouldn’t say *i* go from there, actually, cause really my characters possess me until i snap out of it 5-40 minutes later)

@solareeclipsed || Working when someone else is talking is pretty nice. If that works for you, I'd also recommend going on call with a friend and just talking while you both get whatever done. Though that usually only works for me when I'm drawing
