Ive heard myself being described as that 'quiet kid who scribbles furiously in that notebook'. That notebook means something more, it is the gateway to new fantastical lands. I write because I can't imagine not ever being able to process my thoughts to weave them onto paper. My notebook comes with me wherever I go because inspiration can appear from even the darkest days.
