Hi!
My name is Sophia Nguyen, and I'm an eighteen year old YA fictional author. I've been writing for a little over eight years, and trust me, the first two years of writing consisted of random character deaths and who knows what.
Since the age of eleven, I began my writing career in hopes of one day being published. But why?

First off, I should mention that I live and breathe books. Barnes & Nobles was my second home (and psst,  barnes & nobles, if you are looking for a kick-ass book to sell in stores, I've got your back). I could spend days in there, roaming down the teen fiction aisle even when those weren't considered "children's book" (I was quite the rebellious one)

I spent almost every living minute as a fifth grader in a bookstore. Yet, I could hardly find a single selling book that was written by an young adult story that was author with the last name "Nguyen." So I figured that (in my eleven year old mind) that I would be the first to do so. Of course there are authors out there whom are part of the Vietnamese community, but there simply aren't enough.

So it was then that I began writing. Short stories, adventures, poetry, anything that I could get my hands on. I figured, "If I can't find a book in stores, I'll simply write my own, and one day hope to see it on  shelves.
