Chapter 8 of Saving F. took a ridiculous amount of time (and effort, thanks to writer’s block ) to be done, but it’s finally up. In this chapter, we see more aspects of magical law in Egypt, and we go to what I like to think of as the Egyptian equivalent of Diagon Alley. Oh, and there’s that thing at the end of the chapter.

          	I hope you enjoy. <3

After a semi-hiatus due to exams and life in general, I think I can say I’m back to writing again. Working on a new chapter of Saving F., and I have it planned out, but I can’t seem to find the motivation to write more than a few hundred words (sometimes a hundred words only) every other day.

Now the question is, how do you find the motivation to write after almost 2 months of not writing? How do you get back into that mood where words seem to flow so smoothly? I need all the advice I can get.

On a different note, I think I can now resume reading all the wonderful books in my library and might even get to read new stuff. :)

@AlexEWinter Thanks so much! This week I’m going on vacation, somewhere near the sea, and I hope that the change of atmosphere will help me (it usually does). :)

@spacethyme Glad you are back, and also glad I am not the only one who took a hiatus this year! I havent written in 4 months, so I am in the same boat. Before last year I never really knew what tools would best motivate or inspire me. It took some trial and error, as well as a few observations from friends and my husband, before I could find what really got my creative juices flowing. I discovered that watching movies, listening to indie/alternalternative music, and driving through the countryside inspires me. A friend pointed out that if I am not sketching, my writing suffers. It's a lot a work to find what does the trick, but it's worth it! You've got this!

@most_bay Thank you! I’ve had so many academic responsibilities over the last 3 months, so I developed this problem where writing feels like an obligation, rather than something I enjoy doing. So when I’m writing, I’m not as passionate as I used to be because I feel this pressure urging me to finish this chapter asap, like it’s some sort of assignment. I do hope you figure out a way to find motivation too. :)

hi, i’ve found your feedback and constructive criticism really helpful on my book. i know you were just reading it for the OWLS but would you be interested in reading more of it and giving me more feedback? i’d really appreciate that as your constructive criticism has really helped me. of course, you don’t have to if you don’t want to and i know you probably have plenty other things to do with your time but if you could check out the rest of my book and give me more helpful feedback, i would really love that. have a nice rest of your day / night!

Hello there! Actually I was planning to read more of your book because I truly enjoyed what I’ve read so far, but I was waiting for my finals to be over to do that (that’s next Thursday, yay, freedom!) You see, normally I don’t give any kind of criticism when I’m reading for my own enjoyment because it makes me feel like an insufferable pedant who’s just there to nitpick, but sure, I’d love to give you some more feedback on your book once I’m done with my exams. I’m glad you’ve found my comments helpful so far. Have a nice day/night. <3 @strawberry_bubbles_x

Saving F. readers, it’s a bit late but thank you for making it reach 1K reads and over 100 votes. I’m currently working on Chapter 7, which will be up by next Sunday or Monday, or even earlier than this if I’m lucky enough. Thank you again. ❤️
