@stefzco I feel like the actors have the perfect vibe even thought they don't look like they were described in the books. Joey's actor has done some similar roles and works well and personally I feel like he is a great actor (I saw some of his projects). I was mostly concerned with Lizzie but I think that we just need to wait for that. I feel like her vibe is perfect but indeed with everything that happened to Lizzie I don't really know how they would do it but we will see. And for Joey's hair I feel like they will make his and Marie's relationships a bit more heartbreaking and keeping his hair brown making him look like her a bit. But idk we will have to see.

@WhimsyMaya I mean, the hair and eye color, they can easily change with hair dye and eye contacts, so for me, it's okay if they don't look exactly like the books if they change it so the actors fit more. Sometimes they don't change it, like with Allie in off-campus. I'm mostly worried abt Gibsie because he doesn't look like a high schooler; the rest of me can pass off as a high schooler, so he's going to stand out next to the others. But idk they're not a lot of pictures of the actors, and maybe we're wrong and without his beard, it's okay. And for Lizzie, I was really surprised when I saw the cast, but the actress is so beautiful, so I'm not mad. It also depends on all the acting and the chemistry, too, as I'd rather have good acting, especially since they're new actors, so we can't really know if they're good actors yet. And with bad acting the series is going to be cringe

@stefzco No hate to the actors, of course, I hope that they will do their job perfectly and I'm not judging their looks. I'm judging the fact that they don't look like the characters in the books. Shannon's eyes are mentioned like so much times, and she doesn't have blue eyes, Joey is supposed to be almost platinum blonde with green eyes and they casted the opposite (even though the actor is great, Joey's looks are important for the resemblance of his father, and Shannon's for her mother), Aoife is supposed to be more chubby, and it's important because in the 2000s that was considered fat even though it isn't. Claire's locks are mentioned everytime we see her, and Lizzie's hair are important because since Mark did what he did her hair turned darker (and I'm saying this as POC, so not in a racist way). I don't like the cast. I can like the actors, but they don't resemble high schoolers and don't look like the characters in the books.
