I am extremely passionate about African tribal art and bygone cultures, especially Benin Bronzes of which I am an expert.

I am also quite the aficionado of tribes such as the Guro, Dogon, Grebo, Baule, Bakongo, and I have explored the countries across West and Central Africa from Sierra Leone to the DRC.

I am quite at home sitting in an Africa village drinking bush tea with Chiefs, as I was when I lived the more ostentatious London life 'Samuel Johnson' so eloquently described. My former business life and passion for all things 'corporate' has been channelled into a near obsession for tribal art and with providing aid to suffering children in the Sub Sahara, where I help run / support 2 orphanages in Ghana and Cote D'Ivoire.

In comparison to my former career paths, promoting tribal art may seem a little insipid, however I have found that my keen eye for collecting weathered relics of bygone tribes has translated well into a thriving business which supports my charitable work. Through my art gallery network in Europe and Africa, 'Fine Tribal Galleries' allows me to explore the remotest parts of Africa in search of tribal art, and in our small way make life more bearable for a few forgotten children along the way.

I have helped dig many bore holes (water wells) in villages in Cote D'Ivoire, Liberia, Mali and most recently Ghana where I run my African operations from. I am a big supporter of 'Malaria' aid and prevention projects, and work with several NGO's, as well as supporting financially, charities such as SOS Childrens Villages, WaterAid and Medicins sans Frontieres (MSF).

Reading books has always been one of my passions , especially when resting in fly infested areas of Africa hiding from the incessant sun, in particular, Shakespeare, Poetry, and technical articles to do with physics or engineering. I am also a voracious reader of anything to do with Tribal art from Africa or the Oceanic.
