A love no one breaks is a great story.
Keep going as you are since she is getting closer to waking up. Once she wakes up we should find out what exactly her leg injury was since it needed emergency surgery. The coma part could be her body protecting her from the severe trauma she experienced. I myself had experienced temporary blindness once as a result of tremendous pain when trying to move an injured leg it was scary but it only lasted a couple minutes. Our bodies do interesting things when we are injured. Have her explain to her doctor that she could hear everyone and the more she tried the closer the voices were. She should stay in the hospital for a couple days and work with a physical therapist because she’s been unconscious for this long period of time and needs to be assessed to see what her movements are. I would imagine her injury could have healed with the amount of time she has been there but she might not be able to walk because she could have lost some muscle while laying in bed for so long (Atrophy). She was a fit athlete so it might not be a severe loss. Then coordinate with the team’s medical staff to take over her care once the hospital and team staff comes up with her rehab schedule.
I imagine the scene when she wakes up to a full room full of her people and not long after she is sitting up in bed with her 2 babies at her sides wrapped in her arms with her husband sitting close holding her arm on one side while her mum is doing the same on the other side. Coach and the 2 teammates have their hands on the uninjured leg smiling because she’s back with them.
