Heads up: This post may get very... controversial, so I hope you understand and feel free to ignore it if you want. You can share your thoughts about it though.
Recently I saw a video covering the topic of a mother who forces her son to wear dresses, when he in fact, doesn't want to. So what we should've taken away from it was the fact that the mother was manipulative and controlling, right? Well the comment section said otherwise.
There were several comments being transphobic and homophobic, and seeing that, I couldn't help but make a comment of my own. In my comment, I explained how not everyone within the LGBTQ community was like the woman in the video. But then I received a reply a few days later and they stated how the 'common people' (yes, that's what they called themselves as) gave us LGBTQ a chance yet we ruined it by being obsessed with our gender labels and whatnot. Then they went on about how it was a capitalist movement and blah blah blah.
Obviously they didn't read my original comment properly as they couldn't get it in their head that not everyone apart of our community acted like what they said. So I replied asking them if they were going to ignore the fact that some Christian priests turned out to be pedophiles and how nearly every politician is corrupt. Of course, I added that I was aware that not all priests were pedophiles and not all politicians were corrupt.
To put it simply, my message here is: "A bad person can come from just about anywhere. No matter their identity or what group they're apart of."
Once again, sorry for the long post, and if you're still reading this: Have a nice day!
