people with depression should not have children. people with anxiety should not have children. mentally ill people should not have children. people in a failing marriage should not have children. there are a lot of people who may think that children will "fix" them or make it better. your children see that you have not showered or changed clothes in a week. your children see that you haven't eaten in days. your children see you fighting with your partner. your child is not medication and they are not therapy. it is not your child's responsibility to make you food because you physically cannot move from the couch after being there for 10 hours. it is not your child's responsibility to get you a Xanax or Lexapro. it is not your child's responsibility to listen to you complain about your marriage. get help before having children or don't have children at all, because how your child sees you models them into who they are.
