Honestly, this is the first time I saw narusaku fans. I think I get your opinon on hinata from how she was written in the manga. But I believe she has more dimensions than liking naruto and being obssessed with naruto. There is a reason she acted like she did in part one, it was cause the way her father and clan treat her crushed her self confidence and social skills.
In the family day novel Hinata even as an adult still has hard feelings towards her father and is a bit uncomfortable about him even though he changed. During both her and her sisters childhood her father only ever put them through training even during breaks they were made to train. He never brought them to play or socialise with other kids and other normal things children do. This lead to both Hinata and Hanabi having poor social skills, though worse in Hinata’s case cause she lost all confidence in herself and her father was open about his dissatisfaction in her. If Narusaku were honestly to happen, she'd be happy for him. His happiness would come first. I think you could transition to make love more like admiration too. Not like that is unhealthy in any way. Sakura is the same really with sasuke in the early parts of the manga and I really never saw that got resolved. Tenten almost acted the same way with neji too. Kishimoto simply sucked at writing females I think. But I feel like in your stories, you simply reduced the intellgence of hinata and everyone around them.
