          i just posted a new chapter after taking a much-needed break, and i seriously appreciate the patience from most of y’all.
          
          i will continue to post when i can, but updates won't be as frequent as they were previously. i started this story in the summer when i had a lot of free time. now i’m in the hardest semester of school i’ve ever had, and i need to focus on studying.
          
          if that bothers you, don’t read my book. i don’t want people here who are going to complain or harass me to post faster.
          
          also, do not tell me how i should write my book. if you don’t like a character or how they act, stop reading. this isn’t a sunshine-and-rainbows kind of book. things are supposed to piss you off. it's supposed to make you feel something, whether that's good or bad. the description is very clear. the tags are very clear. the title is self explanatory. 
          
          to the 90% of you who bring nothing but love, encouragement, and joy: i love y’all more than you know. you’re the reason i continue to write.

I discovered your story a few days ago— and I have read it ALL so quick, damn. Now everytime I see you update the next chapter, I literally STOP what I am doing to go and read it. I haven’t been this invested in a story for a long time. I AM OBSESSED. Your writing is incredible, the storyline is interested and the characters are DELICIOUS.

hey my favorite superfans,
          
          I just saw that the sequel to Consumed came out and that it's a science based book, so I'm super excited.
          
          with that said, PLEASE DO NOT COMPARE OUR WRITING!!! I love weekendlustt so much and she is genuinely one of my favorite authors, but it is so discouraging to have people constantly compare my characters and my story to hers. 
          
          I did not base my story off of Consumed. I honestly have been so busy writing that I've only gotten to like chapter 40 and there's like 100 chapters. 
          
          There were multiple instances where people have said Mavis and Monroe are similar, and I think the similarities fall within the type of characters they are. Sure, Mavis and Monroe are both strong, powerful women, but that’s pretty much where the similarities end. And as for Liberty and Cameron, I don’t see it. Cameron’s got a PhD at 21 and is all about thinking for herself. 
          
          I love that my writing can remind you of other things you've read, but please don't make it a habit to constantly refer to someone else's book in the comments of mine. You wouldn't go to someone's concert and say their music is all the same as a different artist. It's the same concept. 
          
          I just want to be sure we’re all respecting the individuality of my work.
          
          now im done being serious. y'all not ready for the next few chapters.

          sorry abt my dyslexia and the fact that i skipped 34 and had 2 chapter 35s LOL
          
          i'm trying to edit a chapter rn however things have been a bit rough over here! i won't go ghost, but have patience bc i don't need extra stress from ppl telling me to post! 
          
          i post for fun, this does not pay my bills! i have a whole life outside of here and i've been trying to be consistent, but shit happens.

Hey y'all,
          
          So yesterday was my birthday, which means I didn’t get around to posting a chapter (but i just posted one LOL). And tomorrow is the start of a new semester, so things might be a little different with updates for a bit. I might end up with more free time than I expect or I could be busier than I plan for. Just be patient with me while I figure things out and get settled.
          
          I also want to say I have been loving the comments lately. Some of them have had me absolutely cackling so please keep that energy up. You guys really make this fun for me.
          
          I am really happy with how the story is going right now. The recent chapters have been on the longer side so let me know what you prefer. Do you like longer chapters like these or would you rather have shorter ones more often?
