Sumant Barooah had his early education at an Irish Christian Brothers School, St Edmund's in the pristine hills of North East India where the Schooling was under the aegis of the University of Cambridge.
Graduated locally and took up a professional career in shoe making which offered an opportunity to travel all across the World ending as a Director in a British Company. Majority of his career he worked with companies in the U.K.
Early years were spent travelling in Europe and North America and later years in the Near and Far East concluding with a memorable 8 years stint in China.
He has written several books, Picture Travel Books, Culture Picture Books and Travel, Adventure stories and memoir based fiction. He has also contributed travel articles in magazines in India and China and made several travel and adventure videos, available in YOUTUBE.
He is a renowned photographer and a Chef by choice.
Now trained in creative writing and retired, he writes full; unless he is travelling.
