hi guys.  i know i haven’t been super active here,  but i figured i should keep you all updated on my dads cancer since so many of you shared his gofundme last year.
          
          unfortunately,  all his treatments have failed.  he went through Y-90 embolization treatment in december,  which is where they inserted radioactive isotopes into his liver in hopes that a concentrated and stronger substance would get rid of the tumors  (which,  at that point,  had become a lot.  his doctors said it was an innumerable amount.) 
          
          instead of getting rid of the tumors or even making them smaller,  they enlarged greatly and too many new ones began popping up to keep track.  
          
          to put it bluntly,  and as his doctors stated,  this is the beginning of the end.  with treatment,  he has up to thirty-two months.  without treatment,  ten to twelve months.  obviously,  we are going through with what we can to increase his lifespan.  but the success rates are low  (treatment with the highest success rate is 45%)  and will decrease his quality of life greatly.
          
          this is news no one wants to hear.  i am now having to grapple with the fact that i will lose my best friend and my father.  thank you to those who have showed him and my family kindness by sharing,  donating,  or even just offering kind words.
