You know that boy you pushed over earlier as a joke? Committed suicide last night. That girl you laughingly called fat? She's starving herself, and she was struggling as it was before that. And that boy you teased for crying? His mother died. You know that man you made fun of for his scars without a second thought? He fought for our country. That man you stole the little leather pouch off? He was homeless. Oh, that girl you yelled at for being a terrible person? She tries harder than anyone to be kind, because she knows how it feels to have her heart broken into a million pieces. And everybody else you've been mean to? You've either hurt them really badly or ruined their life. A person may seem horrible or disgusting to you, but that doesn't mean they are. Be patient, be kind. Even when it feels really hard and you think someone's in the wrong, or just plain awful.
