I don't get it. How can a writer as talented and funny as you are not get more attention here on Wattpad? 
          
          Your stories are inventive and hilarious. I'm talking laugh-out-loud-funny. They're so much fun!! Do you have a secret career as a scriptwriter, or something? A stand-up comedian? And how come writing books isn't your main occupation? 
          
          I had a few rare unscheduled moments this morning, which I spent getting caught up on The Desert Doggers. I've been reading it on an old tablet that conks out every time I try to leave a comment, but I like it so much that I've fired up my PC to write this, and some time in the near future I'm going to revisit the story and leave a word or two. To be clear, I have no reason to do so, other than the pleasure of being able to interact with you and your work. There's no ulterior motive. I'm only praising you because you're worthy of praise.
          
          Keep up the great work, Dave, and if you'd like to correspond via email or Discord, please let me know and I'll share my contact info. But, no pressure! Like I said, there's no ulterior motive. (I'm not phishing, or anything!) ;-)

@Galactica_Writes - you are far too kind! Thanks for taking the time to battle your ageing hardware and send this lovely message. I'm glad at least one person enjoys my writing! Alas, I am not employed in either writing or comedy, and this Wattpad account is really my first attempt at sharing anything that I've written.
            
            Sorry I've been a bit sporadic with the updates on 'The Desert Doggers' - I'll try to be more disciplined about finding time to write! :)
            
            Haha, ok, you've convinced me that you're not a charlatan (not that I thought you were)! Of course we can correspond - I'm not a regular Discord user, but I'm pretty sure I have an account if I can remember the password, so either of those options is fine; I'll let you choose!
