I want to write a book that someone remembers fifty years from now. I don't care if it's a best seller, or even if it's someone's favorite. I just want a little old lady fifty years from now to be sitting on her porch and suddenly recall the adventure she had with my story.
I want the people in my head to be remembered by more than just me. Because I know that if I don't put them on paper, then when I die, they'll die too, with the world never remembering them because it didn't even know they existed. That they had stories to tell, lessons to teach.
I want to travel to the worlds that others have imagined in their minds. I want to know about the people there - learn their names and their stories. Learn how they came to exist.
Because the imagination is where we first began to exist ourselves.
