said this on a server yesterday but im also gonna post it here.
          if yall don't see anything wrong with adding female members to boy groups (ESPECIALLY when a lot of the people who do that do it to have an excuse for their oc to be dating a member of that group) but then turn around and get mad/weirded out about adding male members to girl groups then i think the problem comes from you because the thought process is exactly the same — making a mostly one-gendered group coed. it's unrealistic on both sides & the problems that arise are similar. 
          not wanting to read about male ocs is fine I guess, to each their own, but don't come out and get all bitchy about it?? it is still someone's work that they put time and effort into, talking shit about it just because it's not something you personally enjoy reading about is the second most immature thing someone can do in this situation (second to sending the author hate).
