am i the only one who feels like folklore and evermore are actually very different in terms of their sound and subject matter??? like evermore discusses more mature themes (adultery, murder, rejected proposals etc.) whereas folklore's themes are overall more immature (teenage love etc.). i think their sounds are also very different - evermore is more bouncy and cowboy vibes with more guitar, whereas folklore is more ethereal and dreamlike. for me, the reason they get lumped together so often is because they were released so close together and are so different from taylor's other albums, and because they're both supposedly fictional (although i think there's a lot more fact in them than taylor wants us to think, but i won't go into that) and it actually really annoys me that people view them as one and the same when there's actually a lot of very important distinctions between them :(
