          I know it's about time, I've said for years that I was going to join but today I finally have! my username is the_writing_girl and has the same profile picture. I'm honestly still trying to get used to the site and haven't posted any of my books yet. I'm still trying to figure out if you can actually follow accounts and if you can post announcements like you can here - basically still trying to get used to the different layout and mechanics of it all but I can't wait to get started!!

Not that I have seen no!!

This heat is getting a little bit too much now. The UK Government have sent out a security alert for fires across the UK... the UK for God's sake!! Where it's supposed to be grey, cloudy and rainy all the time!! 
          
          I don't usually get political online but I do find it humorous that our Government is sending out that alert whilst our PM (who wasn't even elected) is pumping more money than ever into the extraction of fossil fuels, the exact thing that is causing the fires that they've had to send an alert out for!!
          
          Sorry for the rant, it's just getting ridiculous now. Peoples homes have burnt down, forests are now ash, lakes and rivers are ceasing to exist all because oil companies like Shell are greedy. 
          
          Here's a shoutout to all of those who take climate change seriously.  Even turning things off at the electrics will help. Not using the gaming console, charging your phone, or watching the tv? Turn the plug off. Reduce plastics, conserve water usage, there's 8 billion people on this planet and if we all do something to make a difference, well hopefully that will account for something.
