I am a teacher. Currently I teach Freshman English. I am also into eastern philosophy, martial arts, and NLP. I am ordained as an inter-faith minister and I am a 6th Degree Rosicrucian.

My students would probably say that I try my hardest to turn them into Jedi even though many simply aren't interested, so as much as I would like to be Yoda, I am probably more of a Qui-Gon ;-) 

I'm here to dabble. Self-published a long time ago. Maybe put up my senior thesis so younger readers would have an idea what writing programs expect for poets. 

Sorry, prose folks...I have written an occasional short story, but I'm not such a fan of dialogue and mine comes across like a George Lucas film, when I really prefer more of a  Kevin Smith take (think the Dogma scene where the angels argue) or a Tarantino rant (think the Commode Story from Reservoir Dogs) or even a Sherman Alexie soft philosophical perspective (just about all of Thomas Builds-The Fire's conversations).

My personal work is too political for this site (at least until I am tenured), given that students can read my work...so this is a place for my lighter poetry and just to see what is out there. I may put up some philosophical stuff at some point to see if there any takers. If I get daring I may put up some of my angry stuff from my college and teen years.

In the meantime I look forward to finding kindred spirits who also have the writing bug.
