Hi, my name is Gill.

I am 43 and a full time mum to three children who has been writing poems and stories my whole life.  My oldest daughter found this website and told me to make an account to see if people liked my work.  This is something I have always enjoyed doing and had been put aside for my family and kids.
I think to be honest when I signed on Watt pad and started posting my work, I was a bit intimidated by the creative people that I had been reading on the site.  It sounds crazy but the reason I called myself turtlesoup was because it was the most random name I could come up with.

I think I needed a bit of self belief and thanks to the feedback and comments I have received it's made me realise I can do more than just be a mum.  Don't get me wrong my husband and my kids are my world and I count myself very lucky to have them .........most days!!

My life is never boring and I am always doing something.

I write poems in family and friends cards which are always personal for the occasion and have written a few stories for my children when they were small.  I also write about things that happen in my life and also things the kids ask me to write about, which can be hilarious.

I hope you enjoy my poems as much as I enjoy doing them.
