also I’m really disappointed in the platform wattpad has become... from paid stories to ads and everything in between, it’s really put a dampen on my creativity. wish we could go back to the simpler days, but alas

@bobbelcher and it's like even when you get into the mentality of writing for yourself, i still *want* people to read my stories and it just feels difficult even if you put yourself out there ://// it's just a lot lol

@unpuns it's like i'm happy for the writers who are on here who did find success and became published but it just feels like wattpad milks that so much and it's like dude.... if the whole website is focused on the same people what's even the point lol

like now there’s a premium membership?? coins? excuse me? every single platform I’ve been on has started to monetize and for no good reason. the beauty of wattpad was just simply being able to write and publish stories freely, read other people’s work without having to worry to pay. wattpad has really taken advantage of people hoping to publish with actual publishers, imo
