@ruesbennett you are so right. and thank you sooo much. i needed to realize this for myself but I was too scared to, because i felt like if i did. and finally admitted to myself that it was over… i’d lose that part of myself that was still in love with the man that i thought had loved me. thank you so much.

you’ll be better off without him, i promise you that. i don’t deny that he still loves you, but he hurt you multiple times even if he didn’t mean to. you seem very kind, that shouldn’t be squandered on someone who takes you for granted. your heart may be a muscle, but it can still break like a bone. protect it, cherish it. give it to someone who deserves it. he doesn’t. someday, you’ll find someone worthy of giving it to
