Hi all, I'm Eva. I'm the author of The Butterfly Crest and creator of The Protogenoi Series. My obsessions fuel my writing, so it's probably best I fess up to them up front (so that you know what you're getting yourself into!):  mythology, Japan, tea, Ancient Greece and Rome, Irish myth, anime, manga, anything by Hayao Miyazaki, the art of Yoshitaka Amano, and (most recently) gardening. 

My writing style is really heavy on imagery and detail. My favorite stories are the ones that leave impressions, the ones that create something visceral. The biggest influences on my writing have been J.R.R. Tolkien, British Romanticism, and Anne Rice. Japanese animation has also been a huge source of inspiration for me, particularly the films by Hayao Miyazaki.
