Hey everyone! My name is James, and I live in the Seattle metro area. I have two sons, ages 19 and 13, whom I love more than anything in the world.
And I moonlight as a romance writer. Just like most other middle-aged suburban dads, right? OK, maybe not. So I'm a bit unusual. I'll wear that as a badge of honor!

I've only been writing fiction for fun since Summer 2017, so about six and a half years now, but I've found it immensely rewarding! I'm naturally a creative type--I play the piano, I write music (click the 'My Website' link below for some orchestrations and original compositions), and I love to cook from scratch, so why not try my hand at writing? So far I've finished and posted one novella-length story. My work-in-progress, which I've been working on for almost five years and counting(!) and which is currently offline as I make some major changes, is projecting to be novel-length. And of course I have a bunch of other story ideas rolling around inside my addled brain.

I write M/F contemporary adult romances from a male POV; it seems like an underserved niche with some serious potential. I also love writing diverse casts of characters and 'unexpected' couples.

I've been obsessed with classical music since I was a wee lad (why yes, that *is* the last page of Mahler's Second Symphony in my background photo), so it figures prominently in my stories. Many of my characters are professional orchestra musicians. And though I'm New England-born and raised, and recently moved to Minnesota (to be with @lilymae74 😁- we actually met on Wattpad!), the Pacific Northwest was home for 25 years, and it's the setting for most of my stories.
