Chapter 7 of 'Unpredictably Yours' is up. Randall gives Colette a ride home, and learns some things about her in the process. They're well on their way to being friends... but is that all they'll be?

Saw you took a peek at my very odd experiment--a K-pop romance that touches on some of the more serious issues in that world and the whole world, actually. Not sure many K-pop stans were expecting that, but I'm always trying to reach a little bit beyond expectations. Unfortunately, just as I was nearing the end of that experiment, I was hospitalized and had to take a big break. But I'll be back soon, now that I've been released. It was lovely to see that read...

@CynthiaDagnal-Myron I've been reading 'Seoul Man' off and on for about a year now. I'm slowly working my way through the chapters, and I've really enjoyed it! The glimpses into the life of a K-pop star, the vivid descriptions of all the wonderful food, the chemistry between Eboni and A.J. - it's all wonderful! I hope you're back to full health now - it was great to hear from you!

Let's try this again, with a link...

Well, I finally powered through five years of major life changes and creative blockages to post Chapter 5 of 'Unpredictably Yours'. And the first four chapters have been revised extensively too! If you're looking for a lighthearted romcom with plenty of humor (and endearing social awkwardness), check out Randall and Colette's journey:

I'm still a painfully slow writer, but it won't be five years until the NEXT update!

I just read that note below that you had a stroke! I'm really sorry to hear that. And the separation...well...I know the feeling. And you're right. Another chapter has opened, but it will take a while before you're ready to start writing it. I found out there was a whole new book waiting to be written--and so far, it's been a really fun "page turner."

That said, I'm here because I saw that you'd read a chapter of "My Seoul Man." And I wanted you to know that every single read and vote is precious to me--you are deeply appreciated! Hope you'll be back soon and often!

@CynthiaDagnal-Myron Thank you so much for getting in touch! The stroke is now four-plus years ago... I'm completely recovered now, though my speech was affected (reading aloud is a challenge!) and I feel like my creative brain took a hit - unfortunate when your two biggest passion are writing music and writing stories! I'm trying to get back into my creative outlets, but it's been a long process with its share of struggles.

Just want to say I've always enjoyed your stories, and "Seoul Man" is no exception! You have a really unique and special voice as a writer that stands out from the rest.

I've actually completed my outline to "Unpredictably Yours" (the title needs some work!), which I've temporarily taken offline. I've made several revisions to the four chapters I'd previously published... but anytime I try to write new material, I really struggle. Still, I haven't given up, even after four years, and I still really want to see this story through to completion! I just have to let go of the anxiety and mental blocks...

As far as the separation (now close to a divorce), it was a long time in coming. It's been a drawn-out process, that's for sure! I hope you're doing well.

            Take care,
            James

Wow! So what a wild ride it's been. And it's just getting started!

First of all, I had a stroke - two weeks ago Monday, the 25th. Most of facilities were left untouched - thank goodness! - but speech was significantly affected. It will be a long road ahead, but I can do it! You prayers and messages of support have made all the difference!

The second piece: I have separated form my wife of 19 years - it's a process that was several years in the making. I'm looking forward to another chapter of my life opening up - the sky's the limit! :-)
