I unpublished my book and stepped away from writing for a while because the constant pressure around updates and the kind of feedback I was receiving stopped feeling supportive and started feeling overwhelming.
Writing doesn’t happen on command. It needs space, the right mindset, and honestly, the right emotional place. Expecting chapters immediately after I post one, and then comparing the story or calling it “copied” or “inspired” when I couldn’t keep up, was discouraging rather than motivating.
Also, using parts of my real-life struggles as an excuse to say I’m hiding behind them for delays was unfair. Those were things I shared honestly, not as explanations I owed anyone.
So I just want to say this once and clearly, I will continue this book at my own pace. Stories deserve time, and so does the person writing them.
If waiting for updates feels difficult, you’re completely free to pause reading. And I also want to be honest about one more thing, I cannot promise that the book will remain on this platform once after it is completed.
There’s no need to project frustration onto me if updates don’t come quickly enough. Writing is something I do with care, not pressure.
And one last thing, since my personal life being mentioned seemed to bother or amuse some people, I won’t be speaking about it anymore here.
