The Jabberwocky
'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!
He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.
'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
I'm writing a verse. Eventually, there will be a website, with comics, art, documents, and stories. I may even choose to make it a collaboration if it gets any attention. For now, Wattpad will pretty much be the only place to see any of this stuff. Perhaps if enough people are interested, I will post a lore book with information on the Verse that I have written already, but that's a big if. Here's to hoping.
I've been on this site a long time, albeit on and off. I don't really believe in the "I'll follow you if you follow me" gambit. It feels cheap. The only people i really have on my following list are either friends, or people I've helped with editing. I haven't talked to any of them in a while. If you like my stuff, I really appreciate it. Please don't expect me to do that in return unless if you've asked me privately and I feel it's worth spending my time on rather than writing/improving my own stuff. I'm not unfriendly, just distant. Thank you for your time.
