I have been a teacher for 31 years now.  In many of my classes I have taught writing.  One thing that always interested me was when my students would tell me that they had never seen a teacher write before.  I usually shared my stories with the students and when technology allowed it, they could even watch me as I created my drafts, revised my story and finally published it.  There was a sense of power in the words and some strong learning going on.

My interest in writing has always been the realistic fiction genre.  Sometimes I take ideas from my own life, other times I think of the ideas based on a set of events that I have been involved in or just heard about.

It is not my hope to be an internationally renowned author but I do like to get feedback from readers.
